Bruker Madrid Office: a Transparent Design

Divilux Glass Partitions: long sightlines, minimal profiles, and curved glass for a Design&Build project by Sutega

Bruker is one of the world’s leading companies in high-performance analytical instrumentation — diagnostic systems and solutions operating at the molecular, cellular, and microscopic scale for the life sciences, pharmaceutical, and advanced industrial sectors. With more than 7,500 employees across over 90 locations worldwide, the company translates scientific research into operational applications while maintaining high standards for its work environments and their ability to adapt to evolving processes.

In the Madrid offices, this approach takes shape in a precisely executed layout. The Design&Build project by Sutega, with Divilux responsible for the glass partitions — a long-standing Etoile partner — uses the Unica® Slim range as the structural framework of the space: single-glazed partitions with minimal profiles, clean joints, and doors coordinated with the section. The dry-assembly system ensures installation accuracy and allows for easy reconfiguration over time.

The spaces are easy to read at a glance. Full-height glass bays create bright, open layouts, with circulation paths that work like bands of light running through the structure. The mix of transparent areas and solid partitions with contemporary textures adds both depth and acoustic comfort. In key areas, the partitions include wide-radius curved glass modules. The glass fronts bend smoothly, guiding movement and softening changes of direction without visible joints. The curved lines help users find their way naturally. Transparency extends views, clarifies alignments, and helps orientation without extra signage. The result is a clean, balanced space where light flows continuously and the rhythm of the frames defines perception.

Attention to detail — slim profiles, aligned joints, and flush openings — creates a balanced interior free of visual noise. The dry-assembly technology, combined with modular components, allows for gradual reconfigurations without affecting timing or finishes — an essential feature in high-tech environments like Bruker’s.

The Madrid offices turn Unica® Slim into an operational framework that orchestrates light, movement, and connections. The space reflects the brand’s character — precision, reliability, and adaptability. It’s a contemporary, understated, and high-performing workplace, where quality is expressed in the scale of detail and in the way every threshold guides those who move through it.
