Fujifilm ICON Tower

Fujifilm: the industrial mood of the new headquarters at Icon Tower, Porto

Designed by CFFA Arquitetos and realized by Divilux, partner of Etoile, the new Fujifilm Portugal headquarters expresses a clear architectural identity through the Unica SC system, where glass, aluminium and controlled transparency define the spatial experience of the workplace.

The project marks an important step in the consolidation of Fujifilm in the Portuguese market. Opened in March 2025, the 1,700 sqm office brings together the company’s activities in Healthcare, Imaging and Business Innovation, translating its growing presence in the country into a coherent and functional workspace.

The intervention is located inside the Icon Tower, part of the wider ICON Community development in Porto. The complex combines offices, serviced apartments, retail and public parking, forming an integrated urban environment designed to support work, services and leisure in a sustainable way. Within this context, the interior project is not only a functional layout, but a response to a larger architectural and urban system.

The FujifilmXPT project, developed by CFFA Arquitetos and executed by Divilux, defines a strong and recognisable design language: technical, clean and contemporary. The interior architecture becomes part of the company’s identity, translating its international profile into space through clarity, order and material precision.

The layout is based on a strong industrial aesthetic, expressed through exposed technical elements, dark surfaces and linear lighting. At the core of the project is the Unica SC system, used with aluminium profiles and horizontal bars applied on both sides of the glass. This solution turns the glazed partitions into internal façades, giving rhythm and structure to the space while reinforcing a clear industrial character.

From a close view, the double application creates a layered effect that adds depth without visual heaviness. From a distance, it becomes a continuous graphic pattern that connects spaces and guides movement throughout the office.

Glass maintains visual continuity and natural light flow between areas. Aluminium introduces structure and precision. The horizontal bars add scale and rhythm. Transparency is carefully balanced: it supports openness and collaboration, while still allowing privacy where needed in daily office use.

The modular system of partitions works together with the rest of the interior: exposed ceilings, visible installations, linear lighting, dark flooring and warm accent tones. The aluminium frame system becomes a visual thread that connects meeting rooms, corridors and working areas, helping to organise the space in a clear and intuitive way.

In this sense, the partition is no longer just a divider, but a design element that shapes the experience of the office. It defines entrances, creates light backdrops, supports visual hierarchy and subtly guides circulation.

The strength of the Unica system lies in its flexibility. It adapts to different spatial and functional needs while maintaining a strong architectural identity. In the Fujifilm Portugal headquarters at Icon Tower, it becomes a key element of the interior language, simple, precise and consistent.

The result is a balanced environment where industrial aesthetics meet workplace comfort. Rather than relying on expressive gestures, the project builds identity through proportion, materials, light and detail.
