Graziano Ramina Industries: beyond glass, the art of precision

The Etoile project for the executive offices in Grantorto (Padua) stands as an architectural statement — where narrative, identity, and spatial discipline converge in a bold and refined expression.

The challenge of designing contemporary workspaces is clear: how can spaces genuinely reflect a company’s identity without relying on fleeting decorative solutions? The project developed by Etoile for the executive offices of RAMINA INDUSTRIES Spa in Grantorto (Padua) offers a radical response to this question.
Here, in the heart of Italy’s industrious Northeast, interior design becomes a vehicle for corporate identity — translating industrial values and processes into a spatial language that is both precise and purposeful.

The Company: A Fully Integrated Vertical Supply Chain

Founded in 1986 by Graziano Ramina, the company has grown into a vertically integrated industrial group, now structured around three production hubs: Ramina Srl, GR Industries Spa, and Ramedical Srl. Together, they cover the entire nonwoven fabric supply chain — from the design and engineering of turnkey industrial plants to the production of meltblown and spunbond materials, all the way to the in-house manufacturing of disposable medical devices.
A supply chain defined by autonomy, control, and continuous innovation.

It is precisely this systemic vision — one that combines mechanical efficiency with technological drive — that Etoile embraced as the guiding principle for the design.
The goal: to create spaces that speak the same language as the company itselfclearcut, structured, rigorous. No formal frills, no decorative indulgence. Only precision… and light.

Design Strategy: A Dialogue of Systems and Materials

The layout is built through coherent layers, using a modular approach that prioritizes functional flexibility. The Metrica F system — designed without lateral framing — defines the perimeters with near-total visual continuity: sheets of glass framed by dark aluminum profiles, matte and deep like ink strokes on paper.

Here, black is not the absence of color — it is a deliberate design statement.
A conscious choice that defines spatial hierarchies without relying on superfluous decorative elements.

Alongside the glass partition walls stand the storage elements of the Quadra seriesessential in composition, rigorous in design. The system ensures a balance between representation and functionality, eliminating any visual gaps and any rhetoric of comfort for its own sake.

At the heart of the space, the Dodici collection introduces work surfaces that appear to float — reduced to their essence, yet endowed with a strong architectural presence.
Tables that reject self-referential aesthetics to become tools for focus and shared reflection.

Defining the Essential: A Spatial Strategy

The space designed by Etoile is, above all, a well-ordered environment shaped by clear and essential principles.
Every partition, material change in level, and transition between natural and artificial light follows a clear design logic. Visual clarity reflects clear thinking.
Here, the office is not just a place of transit, but a space of identity—a permanent workshop for a company culture based on precision, reliability, and control.

The dominant bichromyblack and white, light and depthis more than a mere color contrast; it acts as a true code for interpreting space. Light-toned floors enhance the diffusion of natural light, while partitions outline boundaries without ever enforcing closure. The result is a subtle, almost musical optical effect: each space is distinct yet connected, each function clearly defined yet never isolated.

Designing identity, without compromise

Graziano Ramina Industries Spa is not just an industrial enterprise, but a precision manufacturing company. A key player capable of competing with leading international groups in its market segment, thanks to technological solutions that embody the most advanced synthesis of innovation, flexibility, and reliability.

In this context, space must follow the same rules: it needs to be clear, flexible, and efficient. Etoile turned these ideas into a project where the partition wall isn’t just a technical feature, but a key part of the architecture. Glass isn’t about transparency, but about visual control. Black isn’t emptiness, but bold design. Light doesn’t decorate,  it shapes.

In this precise balance between discipline and expression, the workplace finds its voice again. Not through excess or decoration, but through a quiet layering of details, materials, and consistent choices. Without the need for bold statements, the design reveals itself for what it truly is: a system of meaning, even before form.
