Lo spazio tra le righe

The Space Between

With Metrica® F, elegance begins at the design stage. Recessed floor, ceiling and wall tracks disappear into the architecture, eliminating the visual presence of profiles and allowing the partition to become a seamless, continuous element of the built environment.

In contemporary workplace design, a partition does far more than divide space. It shapes the way light moves, supports interaction, and creates the right balance between openness and privacy. Metrica® F is designed to work within these subtle transitions, where solid surfaces meet transparency and collaborative areas seamlessly coexist with spaces for focused work.

The system features a nominal thickness of 97 mm and is available in four configurations, three glazed and one solid, offering designers the flexibility to respond to a wide range of architectural requirements. While its engineering is concealed within carefully resolved details, its aesthetic quality is the result of a broader design approach, where architecture, flooring and partition systems are conceived as one integrated composition.

The Architecture of Continuity

What defines Metrica® F is the complete integration of its profiles into the architecture. Floor and ceiling tracks, together with wall connections, are fully recessed, removing any visible interruption between the partition and the surrounding space. The result is an exceptional sense of visual continuity, with the partition appearing to emerge seamlessly from the architecture itself. Aluminium profiles and precisely detailed wall junctions frame the surfaces with understated elegance, turning the boundary into a refined architectural line, subtle in appearance, yet fundamental to the spatial composition.

Four Expressions of the Same System

Metrica® F1 features a single-glazed panel positioned at the centre of the partition, while Metrica® FA adopts an offset glazing configuration. Metrica® F2 introduces double glazing, and Metrica® F Solid is composed of two 18 mm solid panels, available in melamine, lacquered or wood veneer finishes.

Although each version responds to different functional and aesthetic requirements, all four share the same dimensions and design language. This consistency allows architects to combine transparency, privacy and materiality throughout a project, giving offices, meeting rooms and workspaces their own distinct character while maintaining a coherent relationship with the surrounding architecture.

Precision Designed

The understated elegance of Metrica® F is the result of careful planning from the earliest stages of a project. Fully recessed floor, ceiling and wall connections must be integrated into the construction process from the outset, requiring close coordination between the building structure, screed, suspended ceilings and floor finishes. Floor build-ups, finished floor levels and installation sequencing all play a crucial role in achieving the system’s seamless architectural integration. Metrica® F accommodates solid, tempered glass and framed hinged doors, as well as an internally sliding framed door. Door leaves are available in both standard and full-height configurations and can be paired with a dedicated technical module designed to integrate power outlets, switches, thermostats and sensors.

Material Meets Transparency

A wide selection of finishes allows Metrica® F to integrate naturally with both architecture and interior furnishings. Aluminium profiles are available in anodised, powder-coated RAL, polished and wood-effect finishes, while the F Solid configuration extends the palette with plain colours, wood veneers and textured surfaces. Glass, too, becomes a defining design element. Available in clear, extra-clear, frosted, bronze, smoked or custom back-painted finishes, it allows designers to calibrate the balance between openness and privacy while shaping the atmosphere and identity of each space. Here, transparency is not simply a material choice, but an architectural tool for modulating light, defining spatial relationships and reinforcing the character of the workplace.

A Quiet Architectural Infrastructure

Today’s workplace must support focused work, collaboration, meetings and everyday operational activities within a coherent spatial framework. Metrica® F responds to these changing demands through an integrated system of partitions, doors, technical modules and connections, seamlessly compatible with the Quadra® storage wall solution. More than a space divider, the partition becomes part of the building’s architectural infrastructure, quietly organising functions, defining circulation and creating a spatial framework that is both clear and adaptable.

Designed from the Beginning

Metrica® F reveals its full potential in new-build projects and complete renovations, where recessed installation can be planned from the earliest design stages. This is where design and technology find their perfect balance: construction details become an integral part of the architectural concept, contributing to spaces that are essential, seamless and fully integrated. By considering the system from the outset, the partition becomes more than a functional element—it becomes part of the architectural vision itself.

The Elegance of Precision

The essential character of Metrica® F is born from the precision with which technical complexity is controlled and resolved. Profiles, sections, junctions and construction dimensions support the design with a measured presence: they are not simply concealed, but considered from the very beginning so that they can disappear into the perception of space. Its identity lies in the lines it creates and in the space it preserves between them. It is often within the finer details of architecture—the joints, thresholds, transparencies and moments of visual silence—that the true quality of a project reveals itself. Because true elegance does not come from hiding technology, but from designing it with such precision that it becomes invisible.
